About the role
- Grow Mastercard relative market share in digital payments across all channels
- Support the regional digital and emerging partnerships team in developing strategy for partnerships with digital merchants and executing in SEA markets
- Continuous evaluation of the market landscape for strategic partnership opportunities
- Deepen existing partnerships with global and regional market leaders in the internet economy
- Provide leadership to the account management team to service existing customers' strategic priorities
- Drive digital acceptance footprint of Mastercard both offline and online
- Grow market share especially with digital merchants and FinTechs
- Sets sales strategy and account planning aligned with geography and segments
- Develop and present financial modeling and business cases for development opportunities
- Negotiate, execute and manage customer contract agreement process
- Establish and maintain relationships with government, regulatory, and industry bodies
- Formally supervise and coach teams and ensure compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal process
- Help identify, coach and groom top talent
Requirements
- Work experience of over 12-15 years
- Experience managing multi geography cross functional teams
- Sound understanding of the digital payment landscape, shared economy, and ecommerce ecosystem is an added advantage
- Prior experience in payments, schemes, and/or technology companies is desirable
- Extensive experience with business development strategy and execution in complex and international regions
- Extensive track record achieving business development targets and building business relationships through customer sales
- Experience supervising, developing, and coaching business development teams to serve complex countries/regions
- Demonstrated success in introducing existing and new/emerging solutions into various MasterCard countries/regions and driving increased penetration with clients
