About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- lead the development and execution of the GSCL field operating model strategy
- help define how the field organization should be structured, supported, and enabled to deliver Target’s long-term supply chain priorities
- assess the current operating model, identify opportunities to improve roles, capabilities, decision-making, and ways of working
- translate long-term strategy into practical and scalable future-state recommendations
- work closely with field leaders, headquarters partners, Human Resources, Finance, functional experts, and transformation teams to develop the strategy, build alignment, and move recommendations from concept through implementation
- lead change management and engagement efforts to help leaders and team members understand what is changing, why it is changing, and how new ways of working will be adopted and sustained
- help ensure the GSCL operating model continues to evolve in support of Target’s long-term supply chain strategy and the needs of the field
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience developing or implementing operating model, organizational design, transformation, or field enablement strategies
- Strong understanding of field operations and the ability to translate enterprise strategy into practical, executable solutions
- Experience leading large multi-year complex integrated projects
- Demonstrated ability to assess current-state roles, accountabilities, capabilities, and ways of working and develop clear future-state recommendations
- Ability to connect workforce, organizational structure, leadership capabilities, and ways of working to long-term business strategy
- Highly flexible and comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional partnership and alignment from multiple business teams
- Demonstrated ability to influence team members at all levels of the organization
- Strong stakeholder management skills; Navigates executive conversations and interactions with clarity and impact
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to objectively manage conflict and drive resolution toward what’s best for Target
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate/work through change and identify change management to drive large scale advancement of transformation
