About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide problem-solving support for internal and external partners to ensure optimal freight flow through the network
- Work in partnership with internal supply chain teams (Inventory Management, S&OP, Supplier Engagement, Field) to drive process improvements and establish best practice SOP documentation
- Manage external carrier and 3PL relationships, track against their performance, and take action to address misses to expectations
- Collaborate with internal and external product development teams to identify process opportunities within First Mile Scheduling
- Serve as the problem solver between field and transportation; insights help shape the future of inbound routines at Target
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
- A passion for transportation/field facing initiatives
- Process-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to influence peers and key stakeholders
- Strong reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box to develop creative solutions
- Ability to plan, manage, and prioritize time/tasks effectively
- Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative, demonstrates ability to work independently
- Ability to develop relationships, both internally and externally, and work in a team environment
