About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Owning solution designs from concept through to delivery
Supporting bids and tenders with strong business, functional and technical expertise to shape winning propositions
Documenting compelling, cost‑effective solution designs
Partnering with Business Analysts to review requirements and facilitate client workshops
Acting as a trusted design authority throughout the project lifecycle
Translating designs into clear, actionable guidance for software engineering teams
Supporting development, testing, onboarding and operational readiness
Sit on Target’s Design Authority Board, championing best practice and technical governance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Subject matter expertise in Financial Servicing (Lending and/or Investments)
Proven client‑facing and presentation experience
Experience designing to standards and industry patterns, with security by design
AS400 / iSeries experience
Cloud technologies (AWS and/or Azure)
IBM Middleware (e.g. IBM i)
API integration (e.g. MuleSoft)
Delivery methodologies (Agile / Waterfall)
Tooling such as JIRA and Confluence
SQL scripting or programming
