About the role
- Contribute to the collaborative design process for Outlet handbags and small leathergoods category
- Partner closely with the Design team and cross-functional partners
- Understand the Coach brand aesthetic and translate it into silhouettes and seasonal design concepts
- Research current and vintage global markets to identify trends, silhouettes, product functionality, novelty techniques, hardware, materials, and detailing
- Sketch product newness in Adobe Illustrator
- Prepare technical specs and design cards for silhouettes and platform newness under tight deadlines
- Maintain file organization in shared digital libraries
- Prepare digital and physical sketch presentations for milestone meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in handbag or related product design
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Hand sketching ability, including flat sketching
- Strong color sense
- Fashion/luxury brand experience, a plus.
