About the role
- Integral part of the store’s overall success and efficiency
- Providing friendly, efficient interactions at cash wrap and maintaining a well-maintained sales floor
- Supporting the flow of product from the moment of receipt through the point of sale
- Greeting the customer with a smile, offering your name, and interacting genuinely
- Maintaining accuracy when operating POS and cash wrap organization
- Suggesting multiple add-ons and selling gift cards
- Receiving shipment and transfers, processing according to standards
- Organizing and cleaning stock room daily
- Analyzing sales floor to assess replenishment needs
- Upkeeping housekeeping standards
Requirements
- 1-3 years of previous retail experience (cashier/stock experience, sales etc.)
- Preferably in a luxury retail service environment
- Current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Knowledge of cash register systems
- Basic computer skills (including iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, and Internet)
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team
- Physical ability to execute at a fast pace, maneuver the sales floor, sales shelves, and stock room; climbing, bending, and kneeling are required
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and, at times, lift and carry product/cartons up to 50 pounds
