About the role
- You want to do more than study event management—you want to actively help shape it.
- You are interested in organizing events and community building and want to understand how professional events really work from early planning through on-site execution.
- You help ensure our events are professionally planned, thoroughly coordinated, and reliably executed—and learn how event management and community building truly interact in a growing environment.
- You actively contribute to ongoing project and event management for the Merchant Inspiration Talks and other community events.
- You research vendors, pricing, and new ideas (e.g., catering, side events, program elements) and prepare decision-making materials.
- You support communication with speakers, sponsors, partners, venues, and vendors.
- You contribute to the planning and concept development of new community formats for 2027.
- You take responsibility for logistics, materials planning, and organizational back-office tasks related to the events.
Requirements
- You have initial practical experience or a strong interest in event management, project organization, and/or community building.
- You work in a structured, reliable, and careful manner—even when multiple tasks are running in parallel.
- You communicate clearly, politely, and professionally—both in writing and verbally—in German (English is a plus).
- You are interested in events, e‑commerce, and digital community formats.
- You are comfortable with common digital tools (e.g., Google Docs, Sheets, Notion) or can learn them quickly.
- You bring a proactive, solution-oriented working style and a high degree of initiative.
- You work independently and strive to implement things pragmatically with a hands-on mentality.
Benefits
- Flexible working hours—well suited to combining with studies or other projects.
- Workspace in a co-working space in Berlin with the option for home-office days.
- Close collaboration with a small, dedicated team and short decision-making paths.
- Lots of room to shape your role and the opportunity to contribute and implement your own ideas.
- Deep insights into the planning and execution of one of the most relevant e-commerce events in the DACH region.
- Direct contact with speakers, partners, and vendors.
- Participation in team events and in the event experience itself.
- Fair compensation.
