About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers using Python/pytest, Playwright, and REST API testing tools
  • Champion a shift-left, automation-first approach by embedding in engineering squads, writing in-sprint automation, and maintaining test coverage
  • Build and maintain automated regression pipelines in CI/CD environments; monitor pipeline health, resolve flaky tests, and ensure reliable engineering signals
  • Author and execute functional, regression, integration, performance, and basic security test plans and cases
  • Identify, document, and track defects; provide reproducible bug reports and validate fixes
  • Collaborate with software engineers and product managers in design reviews, sprint planning, and code reviews
  • Create and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test summary reports, and deployment checklists
  • Share QA knowledge and best practices within the Krakow team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or another relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of QA engineering experience focused on test automation in a B2B software or SaaS environment
  • Proficiency in Python/Pytest for automation, or experience with another programming language
  • Solid experience with REST API testing and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
  • Knowledge of test automation pyramid, Page Object Model, Agile/Scrum development, and defect management tools such as Jira and TestRail
  • Familiarity with non-functional testing, including load, stress, and performance testing, and basic OWASP security testing concepts
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience with Playwright or Selenium for UI testing preferred as a nice-to-have
  • Familiarity with TypeScript or JavaScript is a plus
  • Understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, including installation and configuration, preferred
  • Experience with virtualization tools such as VMware, Hyper-V, UTM, or similar
  • Proficiency with shell, Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages
  • Experience using packet capture tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump
  • ISTQB CTFL certification preferred
