About the role

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive digital operations strategy and roadmap to deliver positive program results across all digital channels including app, website, mobile, email, push notifications, SMS, SEO and more.
  • Ensure execution meets company goals for performance of these channels, including clicks, installs, redemptions, opens, customer database growth, site traffic, SEO rankings, and other key marketing KPIs.
  • Closely partners with Marketing Performance team to ensure digital channels are meeting or exceeding monthly and annual marketing valuation targets.
  • Provide strategic direction, digital channel expertise, and oversight for Tanger's digital products, programs, and assets from a marketing perspective.
  • Serve as lead to agencies and digital vendor partners from a marketing perspective in partnership with Technology.
  • Define success metrics for digital channels.
  • Regularly analyze performance data, engagement metrics, and benchmarks to derive insights, optimize strategies, and surface opportunities to key stakeholders.
  • Drive and support channel acquisition growth of new customers and expand the lifetime value of customers across all digital channels.
  • Develop and maintain a strategy for ongoing development and backend architecture maintenance, martech utilization in partnership with Technology and improved organic optimizations for all digital channels.
  • Align resources and define timelines with an eye towards prioritization and business impact.
  • Publish these strategies through a separate development calendar for channel projects, that aligns resources, manages launch timelines, and sets expectations with stakeholders.
  • Partners with IT and analytics teams to implement ongoing enhancements, integrations, and infrastructure to scale database capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with National Marketing, Field Marketing and Customer Experience teams to ensure digital experiences support broader brand, marketing goals and objectives while improving overall customer experience on Tanger’s digital properties and platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 15 - 20 years of strategic marketing experience with strong online, digital and/or e-commerce operations.
  • Experience with analytics-based decision making where success measures include customer growth, conversion, and content quality.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing technologies and tools with experience working with internal and external development teams, and vendors that require competency around SEO/SEM; CRM/CDP operations; DAM, ERP, PLM systems and SDK, API integrations; compliancy standards for GDPR, WCAG 2.0, TCPA, CCPA and IP reputation monitoring.
  • Proven skills in marketing strategy, campaign management and data analysis/optimization.
