About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take full ownership of managing and continuously improving the entire employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding to development, performance management and offboarding
- Act as a trusted sparring partner and competent point of contact for employees and managers on all HR-related and employment law matters
- Independently manage the entire recruiting process — from needs analysis and advising business units through active sourcing and conducting interviews to contract negotiation and successful onboarding of new hires
- Work closely with leaders on personnel decisions and provide advice on performance, development and employee retention
- Design, manage and continuously improve our performance management processes and support feedback and development conversations
- Draft, review and manage all HR-related documents (e.g., employment contracts, contract amendments, references and certificates) in compliance with employment law requirements
- Responsible for maintaining and enhancing our HR processes, master personnel data and HR systems with a focus on efficiency, quality and scalability
- Prepare monthly payroll in close cooperation with our external tax/accounting firm
- Ensure compliance with employment law, statutory and internal requirements and continuously optimize HR policies and processes
- Independently lead and contribute to strategic People & Culture projects, particularly in the areas of employer branding, employee experience, talent management and organizational development
- Responsible for a professional and smooth office operation and for improving our workplace and office processes
- Manage external service providers and take responsibility for administrative and organizational office matters
- Plan and execute team events, workshops, onboarding activities and internal company events
- Responsible for access and authorization management and coordination of all relevant security and entry procedures
- Coordinate and ensure workplace safety, including compliance with legal requirements, documentation and training records
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree with a focus on HR, Business Administration or Industrial/Organizational Psychology — or equivalent commercial training with relevant professional experience
- Several years of professional experience in HR, ideally in a dynamic tech, SaaS or startup environment
- Solid knowledge of German employment law and comprehensive experience across the entire employee lifecycle
- Experience independently managing complex recruiting processes and working in a trusted partnership with leaders
- Experience in developing HR processes, structures and people initiatives
- Strong advisory skills and a confident presence at all levels of the organization
- High initiative, an entrepreneurial mindset and a structured, solution-oriented working style
- Excellent communication, organizational and stakeholder management skills
- High service orientation, a hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for actively shaping a growing company
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
- Confident use of modern HR systems as well as digital collaboration and recruiting tools
