About the role
- Collaborate closely with the team to enhance and maintain the frontend foundation that supports all key products.
- Work with the product owner, designers, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements and UX concepts into high-quality frontend solutions.
- Provide technical frontend expertise during the design phase of new products and features, focusing on usability, performance, and accessibility.
- Contribute to frontend architecture, software design decisions, and implementation details in collaboration with the team.
- Develop scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly web applications using React and TypeScript, consuming GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable code following established best practices.
- Take responsibility for testing, rollout, and go-live of product increments.
- Help evolve frontend development standards, including automated testing, build pipelines, diagnostics, and monitoring.
- Adopt a DevOps mindset by collaborating on CI/CD pipelines and ensuring smooth, reliable frontend deployments.
Requirements
- Solid experience as a frontend developer in a product-driven environment.
- Experience building modern frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of modern frontend architectures, state management, and component-based design.
- Good knowledge of web architectures and experience with OAuth2-based authentication methods.
- Experience consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs and working closely with backend developers.
- Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern styling approaches (e.g., Tailwind CSS).
- Experience with frontend testing tools and common testing approaches (e.g., Cypress, component testing, end-to-end testing).
- Experience building reusable UI components and documenting them with Storybook or similar tools.
- Familiarity with frontend build tools, bundlers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of web performance, accessibility, and security best practices for frontend applications.
- Structured way of working, ability to contribute to technical decisions within your area, and clear, constructive, respectful communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (at least B2); German is a plus.
