About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and maintain relationships with introducing used car dealers and brokers
Attend face-to-face appointments
Conduct telephone and email negotiations
Offer competitive finance terms and facilities to used car dealers and brokers
Create new used car dealer and broker relationships within the geographical area
Manage existing dealers and brokers to ensure sales and efficiency targets are met
Provide excellent customer service
Achieve business targets and personal objectives
Attend one-to-one meetings and team meetings at Tandem office locations, typically in Cardiff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Effective communication styles and methods for interacting with used car dealers, brokers and third parties
Ability to work independently, set priorities and take a lead role
Accountability for own performance
Ability to communicate verbal and written information clearly, fairly and without misleading customers
Ability to work under pressure in a target-driven environment and prioritise tasks
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to research, digest, analyse and present material clearly and concisely to senior management and director level
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work proactively and think strategically in a fast-moving environment
Flexibility and adaptability to varied tasks and extra hours when required to meet deadlines and handle client queries
Ability to present to motor dealers and brokers of all sizes and types
Background checking, including credit, criminal records and CIFAS Internal Fraud Database Checks, forms part of the recruitment process
Previous motor finance or related motor-industry experience (not essential)
Understanding of the motor finance digital marketplace (not essential)
Understanding of the motor-industry regulatory environment (not essential)
