About the role
- Lead and manage the quality assurance team, setting department goals and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Maintain and update the Quality Manual and ensure compliance with ISO9001, AS9100, and customer-specific requirements
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality systems, procedures, and internal controls to meet regulatory and certification standards
- Conduct internal, external, and supplier audits to assess compliance with standards and identify opportunities for improvement
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures to resolve issues and prevent recurrence
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and production teams to improve product designs, manufacturing processes, and training programs
- Implement quality metrics and statistical analysis to monitor performance, efficiency, and compliance
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions to enhance satisfaction and product reliability
- Oversee inspection methods, metrology equipment, calibration processes, and testing procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field
- At least 5 years of proven quality management experience in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, and other applicable quality standards
- Certified ISO9001/AS9100 Lead Auditor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, MRP systems, and SAP (preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical process control, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and inventory control systems such as Kanban or SMI
- Solid understanding of metrology, inspection equipment, and calibration procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and develop teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
- (Desired) Advanced degree or professional certification in quality management, Six Sigma, or lean methodologies
- (Desired) Experience working in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing industries
- (Desired) Knowledge of continuous flow manufacturing and advanced quality tools
- Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
