About the role
- Lead product engineering efforts from concept through production, ensuring designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with specifications.
- Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to introduce new products and improve existing product lines.
- Support production by addressing technical questions, reviewing specifications, and providing guidance on product requirements.
- Use CAD software to develop models, tooling, and fixtures that enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Analyze testing data, dimensional reports, and inspection results to identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
- Partner with quality teams to resolve discrepancies, support MRB activities, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare engineering documentation including technical reports, change orders, and process updates.
- Engage with customers to clarify requirements, provide technical support, and ensure product satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing lead time, improving yields, and optimizing overall product lifecycle performance.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials science, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 7 years of product engineering experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, NX/Unigraphics, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and dimensional analysis.
- Experience supporting production teams in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
