About the role
- Analyse and interpret energy market regulatory changes impacting Tally Group products.
- Understand and prioritise compliance needs, including legislative requirements and process improvements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to capture, translate, and document business and technology requirements.
- Draft clear user stories and facilitate workshops to understand business goals.
- Represent Tally Group at industry forums and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Manage risk identification for new and existing services, initiatives, and products.
- Maintain the compliance obligation register and assess relevant legislation.
- Deliver outputs within deadlines and stay abreast of industry changes.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Australian energy market regulations (e.g. NER, NERR, ERCOP, NERL, NGR) and the roles of AEMO, AER, ESC, ERAWA, ACCC, Treasury, CER, and Ombudsman schemes.
- Experience in a similar compliance or business analyst role, ideally within the energy sector.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to write quality BRS, user stories, and epics.
- Able to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and Business Analysis practices.
- University degree in Legal, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) preferred
