Key responsibilities & impact

Translate roadmap priorities into executable engineering plans and align development resources with high-priority initiatives.
Lead planning and execution of technical projects across the software development life cycle, from requirements through deployment.
Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and delivery plans as business and technical needs evolve.
Track dependencies across engineering workstreams and resolve conflicts or blockers.
Coordinate releases and technical initiatives across web, mobile, API, backend, and other engineering teams.
Monitor project health using quantitative metrics and qualitative signals; surface risks and opportunities to leadership.
Maintain project documentation and visibility covering status, decisions, risks, and next steps.
Unblock engineering teams, facilitate technical discussions and decision-making, and coordinate project ceremonies.
Serve as a technical point of contact for external partners, customers, and stakeholders.
Gather external requirements and translate them into technical requirements, plans, and priorities.
Coordinate technical deliverables, integrations, timelines, and dependencies across internal and external organizations.
Manage stakeholder priorities and expectations, identifying tradeoffs and escalating issues as needed.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, Data, leadership, and other cross-functional teams.
Translate technical information and project status into actionable updates for non-technical stakeholders.
Improve engineering processes, resource allocation, and project execution.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of technical project management experience, ideally in a high-velocity technology or startup environment.
Strong understanding of the software development life cycle, from requirements gathering through deployment.
Experience coordinating complex projects across multiple engineering teams, technical workstreams, and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive problem-solver who identifies risks, dependencies, and blockers before they impact project delivery.
Collaborative leader who builds trust through strong judgment, accountability, and follow-through.
Comfortable participating in technical discussions and working closely with engineers and engineering leadership.
Experience managing external partners, vendors, customers, or other stakeholders through complex technical projects.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to adapt processes based on team and project needs.
Bonus: Healthcare experience, particularly in regulated environments.
Bonus: Experience working with healthcare providers, payers, EHRs, or other healthcare technology partners.
Bonus: Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements and healthcare software development.
