About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contributes to Child Care Aware® of America’s research projects to analyze and benchmark state child care standards.
Participates in data collection and analysis, utilizing multiple research methods as needed (e.g., surveys, questionnaires, case study methods, interviews, etc.)
Communicates and translates data into research products that are easily understood and digested by system leaders, policymakers and CCAoA partners.
Maintains data and associated databases for key research reports.
Develops and maintains relationships with external stakeholders, particularly those who provide data for CCAoA analyses, regularly interfacing with them regarding research requests.
Partners with colleagues and other CCAoA units to execute projects in support of Research Team goals.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in child care policy, licensing, QRIS, research, program evaluation, or a related field.
Experience with quantitative and qualitative social science research, including, but not limited to developing surveys and analyzing extant and original datasets.
Proficiency using Excel is required.
Documented strong attention to detail.
Able to perform work with accuracy and minimal revision.
Competency in analyzing and synthesizing information quickly and accurately.
Excellent project management and planning skills with the ability to keep work on track with minimal supervision, under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated skill in collaborating clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
