Account Executive
Talent SamAccount Executive responsible for managing client relationships and driving sales growth for a South African sales team. Delivering tailored solutions to help clients achieve their business objectives.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Conduct product or service presentations and demonstrations
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions in CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- Prepare proposals, pricing, and respond to RFPs when required
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product, and customer success to ensure client satisfaction
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to improve sales strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term client relationships
- Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to meet sales targets and deadlines
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in B2B sales or SaaS environments is a plus
