About the role
- Serengeti Spirits: startup brand and manufacturer of craft-produced alcoholic spirits flavoured with tropical fruits from Zanzibar, with unique bottles and Serengeti-themed packaging
- Office in Tanzania and micro distillery in Braunston, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom; plans to export internationally and sell across UK and Europe via DTC website and distributors
- First full-time marketing hire, reporting to and working alongside the owner; supported by part-time staff in UK and Tanzania
- Responsibilities: manage social media accounts; build and implement a marketing strategy to grow product and brand profile; co-manage e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon) with sales executive; assist with digital, content, brand, PR & email marketing; support export efforts with the sales manager; perform ad hoc tasks for a growing company
Requirements
- MUST be fluent in written & spoken English, with a persona that matches that of the company brand
- Very hardworking, determined, dedicated and patient (start-up environment)
- Experience of working in a broad marketing role, ideally in retail, wholesale & export
- Experience in the drinks industry is desirable
- Experience managing business social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram)
- Tech-savvy and able to use a range of AI automation tools
- Self-motivated, ambitious, interested in growing with an early-stage start-up
- Friendly and personable to build business relationships and act as the 'face' of the company
- Well presented, articulate and sociable for networking and projecting the brand in the premium segment
