Data Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using ETL and ELT methodologies.

• Work with a variety of database technologies, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and analytical/big data systems.

Full-stack Engineer

• As a senior full-stack engineer, you take responsibility for delivering and supporting robust back-end and front-end applications that expose our data and functionality to internal and external users.
• Applications handling financial information need to be able to handle large data sets in a performant manner, while being highly accurate and reliable.
• You’ll work with a team of talented engineers to design and build systems that support some of South Africa’s best-known brands.
• Architect and Developer: Design and implement robust solutions for our platform, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
• Product Innovation: Design and development of technical solutions to deliver on our product vision.

• Deepen Included VC Africa’s community partnerships, with a particular focus on broadening our reach across underserved markets and advancing the organization’s vision
• Proactively identify and facilitate career opportunities for Fellows by matching them with relevant roles, coordinating warm introductions, and supporting their transition into the investment ecosystem
• Help create the conditions for each cohort - and the wider network around it - to become a self-organizing community that supports each person’s journey through technology and entrepreneurship
• Help shape and share the outward story of the Fellowship - including spotlighting Fellows, amplifying deep dives and insights, and making more of what happens inside the programme visible across the ecosystem
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships across the global venture and startup ecosystem
• Coordinate with the Founder/CEO to help deliver world-class experiences
• Over time, build strong relationships with founders, investors, sponsors, and others across the Included VC Africa global community

• Ensure the customer experience remains clear and consistent as customers move between products, markets, and partner journeys.
• Help the business understand how product design, loan sizing, limits, pricing, and customer communication affect customer behaviour, retention, and long-term value.
• Surface trade-offs between customer experience, risk, and growth.
• Partner with Credit Ops to ensure experience supports responsible lending and healthy portfolio performance.
