About the role
- Project-based financial management
- Own and track P&L per project (fixed price, time & material, retainers).
- Build and maintain detailed project cost structures including team hours, tools, vendors, and overheads.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Tech Leads to monitor burn rates and cost variances.
- Support pricing decisions and margin optimization initiatives.
- Manage the full client invoicing cycle in line with contracts and project milestones.
- Track accounts receivable and actively follow up on collections.
- Resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with project teams and management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide clear, actionable financial insights to leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong experience with project-based P&L management and collections.
- Experience in software studios, agencies, or professional services firms.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
