About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and supervise the Accounting Coordinator.
  • Maintain, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts, including but not limited to cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and accrued liabilities.
  • Identify issues and errors, investigate variances, and collaborate with the Controller.
  • Prepare and file government remittances, deposits, expense entries, and payroll transactions.
  • Prepare vendor payments for approval.
  • Execute month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Work with accounting software and provide support to other departments.
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bookkeeping experience and management of accounting records in an ERP environment.
  • Strong understanding of trial balance, general ledger, and financial statement close processes.
  • Back-end experience, including database design and management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting-related roles.
  • Full bilingual proficiency (business French and English), as this role involves interactions with suppliers and government agencies in both languages.
  • Additional experience in one of the following areas is a major asset: experience with NetSuite and involvement in implementing financial close management tools such as Numeric, FloQast, or equivalents.
  • Experience in the powersports, automotive, or complex manufacturing industry.
