About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage complex accounts to achieve revenue targets
  • Develop strong relationships with varied buying personas to protect existing business and identify new opportunities among existing clients
  • Develop and implement robust account plans
  • Apply business strategy and influence internal and external stakeholders at director level
  • Uncover customer needs and position appropriate solutions
  • Manage the funnel and provide accurate forecasts
  • Support execution of client contract requirements
  • Achieve revenue targets and quotas outlined in the Annual Operating Plan
  • Drive a team-selling approach to support customer-intimate solution development
  • Manage complex corporate accounts and increase share of wallet
  • Develop business understanding of products, customers, and competitors
  • Submit timely forecasts and ad-hoc reports
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce.com data for accounts, contacts, and opportunity pipeline management
  • Perform other duties supporting business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level
  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences preferred
  • Experience in account or territory management in a life science or specialized field
  • Demonstrated success meeting established targets
  • Customer relationship management experience
  • Manager level requires minimum 1 year of relevant experience and/or training
  • Senior Manager level requires 4–8 years of relevant experience and/or training
  • Ability to understand markets, customers, and competition through business analytics
  • Ability to develop complex territory/account plans
  • Pipeline management and accurate forecasting skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with varied buying personas
  • Knowledge of business strategy and ability to influence stakeholders at director level
  • Ability to uncover customer needs and position appropriate solutions
  • Ability to support execution of client contract requirements
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday during core business hours
  • Qualified candidates would live near the San Francisco Bay area, Oregon, and Washington region
  • Frequent travel within the region expected
