About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and manage the end-to-end product roadmap
- Oversee priorities from initial concept through to delivery
- Align product development with client needs and business objectives
- Act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders
- Build long-term client relationships focused on outcomes
- Improve processes using data, feedback, and insight
- Identify opportunities to automate and optimise workflows
- Work closely with development and consultancy teams
- Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making
- Lead and develop a team of consultants and specialists
- Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and team meetings
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and development
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear technical outputs
- Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with growth
- Own delivery across product and custom development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in tax technology, tax workflow automation, or digital tax transformation
- Strong blend of accountancy and software experience
- Accountancy pathway: trained as an accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent before moving into software, product, or technology
- Software pathway: career within software/SaaS for accountancy or financial services clients, with deep expertise in practice workflows, compliance, or tax
- Proven product management experience within SaaS, professional services, or managed services
- Strong understanding of financial services or accountancy environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured and organised way
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capability focused on team development
