About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the chief resource to the Portfolio Construction Services team and Portfolio Construction Specialists
- Provide bespoke analysis, commentary, and insights to financial professionals
- Generate asset allocation model review proposals using T. Rowe Price product solutions
- Support custom models and develop market insights, tools, and services
- Collaborate with lead analysts and relationship managers to understand client needs and strategic vision
- Perform analyses supporting guidance on targeted portfolio construction and investment solutions
- Provide consultation, performance reviews, and analytical services to internal audiences
- Articulate the strengths of T. Rowe Price funds, services, and offers
- Escalate highly complex questions and issues as needed
- Gather information to perform analyses that inform client decision-making and advice
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of tools and methodologies and determine improvement opportunities
- Contribute to analyses, frameworks, tools, methodologies, and intellectual capital
- Perform research, gap analyses, and broader market reviews
- Monitor market developments, industry research, and evolving investment themes
- Develop networks in asset allocation, portfolio construction, and related disciplines
- Provide guidance to junior stakeholders on portfolio construction tools and tactics
- Attend industry and key client events to develop industry relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 5+ years of total relevant work experience
- Specialized knowledge and expertise in the job discipline
- Deep experience integrating related disciplinary knowledge
- Strong analytical skills and verbal and oral communication abilities
- Ability to gather information systematically and develop actionable insights from data
- Ability to collaborate effectively across investment, relationship management, and consulting functions
- Passion for financial markets and familiarity with Modern Portfolio Theory concepts preferred
- CFA designation or demonstrated commitment through recent passage of at least the Level 1 exam preferred
- Comfort with all asset classes preferred
- Previous manager research experience strongly preferred
- Robust industry knowledge, including T. Rowe Price and non-T. Rowe Price investment strategies
- Experience with Morningstar Direct preferred
- Demonstrated ability with Excel, preferably building financial models
- Comfort working with AI-enabled tools and interest in leveraging emerging technologies
- FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported
