About the role

  • Develop and deliver T. Rowe Price-backed retirement strategies and insights to participants
  • Provide comprehensive consultations to participants over the phone as part of a dedicated sales team
  • Advise participants during life-changing events (separation of service, retirement, investment planning)
  • Obtain knowledge of participants' financial portfolio objectives, asset composition and history
  • Retain assets through education and guidance on plan-specific and general distribution options
  • Acquire new assets through ongoing consultative follow-up conversations
  • Initiate proactive/follow-up calls to current or prior providers to coordinate next steps
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities and serve as a single point of contact through transitions
  • Use consistent follow-up processes and organize calendar and leads to meet retention and sales targets
  • Develop and maintain proficient knowledge of T. Rowe Price funds, products, and services
  • Partner with back-office and shared services teams to research and resolve client inquiries
  • Participate in training sessions and share knowledge with teammates

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience with inbound and/or phone-based sales
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66
  • 3+ years of related experience with inbound and/or phone-based sales (preferred)
  • Systems knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Salesforce and/or Synergy (preferred)
  • Proficient understanding of Retirement Investment Products and qualified retirement plans (preferred)
  • Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) (obtainable within 180 days of hire) (preferred)
  • Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP®) (preferred)
  • FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role
