About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own complex or cross-platform products and product families end to end
  • Create, manage, maintain, and communicate product vision and roadmap
  • Identify target customers and conduct end-user product research
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify innovation opportunities and root causes
  • Conduct cost-benefit, ROI, NPV, and competitive product analyses
  • Secure and maintain product funding through enterprise processes
  • Anticipate industry trends and incorporate impacts into product strategy
  • Communicate, influence, and sell ideas to VP-level and other executive stakeholders
  • Assess partnerships and licensing opportunities with external third parties
  • Build customer empathy through customer meetings and maintain an active voice-of-customer feed
  • Translate strategy into detailed requirements, documentation, and artifacts
  • Own product backlog, priorities, dashboards, reports, QBRs, and steering meetings
  • Coordinate with architecture, development, marketing, sales, finance, legal, and other stakeholders
  • Run beta and pilot programs and support go-to-market activities
  • Support software development from strategy and architecture through deployment and production support
  • Make trade-off decisions and ensure product quality and performance
  • Manage adoption tools and training materials
  • Identify and resolve execution, operational, and organizational issues
  • Build relationships with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams
  • Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 7+ years of relevant Product Management experience
  • Advanced understanding of customer experience
  • Experience launching products in the Government / Public Safety segment
  • Experience delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership while collaborating and influencing
  • Proven success directing matrixed resources and delivering software across multiple teams
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and commonly used tools
  • Strong requirements elicitation and technical writing skills
  • Ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences
  • Strong business analytics skills and ability to identify, analyze, and synthesize product use data
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness and ability to travel
