About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own complex or cross-platform products and product families end to end
- Create, manage, maintain, and communicate product vision and roadmap
- Identify target customers and conduct end-user product research
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify innovation opportunities and root causes
- Conduct cost-benefit, ROI, NPV, and competitive product analyses
- Secure and maintain product funding through enterprise processes
- Anticipate industry trends and incorporate impacts into product strategy
- Communicate, influence, and sell ideas to VP-level and other executive stakeholders
- Assess partnerships and licensing opportunities with external third parties
- Build customer empathy through customer meetings and maintain an active voice-of-customer feed
- Translate strategy into detailed requirements, documentation, and artifacts
- Own product backlog, priorities, dashboards, reports, QBRs, and steering meetings
- Coordinate with architecture, development, marketing, sales, finance, legal, and other stakeholders
- Run beta and pilot programs and support go-to-market activities
- Support software development from strategy and architecture through deployment and production support
- Make trade-off decisions and ensure product quality and performance
- Manage adoption tools and training materials
- Identify and resolve execution, operational, and organizational issues
- Build relationships with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams
- Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree required
- 7+ years of relevant Product Management experience
- Advanced understanding of customer experience
- Experience launching products in the Government / Public Safety segment
- Experience delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives
- Ability to communicate effectively with leadership while collaborating and influencing
- Proven success directing matrixed resources and delivering software across multiple teams
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and commonly used tools
- Strong requirements elicitation and technical writing skills
- Ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences
- Strong business analytics skills and ability to identify, analyze, and synthesize product use data
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willingness and ability to travel
