About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of Senior+ engineers; foster a culture of accountability, ownership, innovation, and continuous growth.
- Continuously improve team processes, tools, operational efficiency, and delivery velocity — building systems that scale.
- Own the organizational capex budget
- Define deployment process and approach for pre-GA technologies and emerging capabilities
- Drive AI integration across team workflows, tooling, and operations — as a current expectation, not a future aspiration.
- Build and sustain trusted partnerships with stakeholders across internal and external partners; influence outcomes across organizational boundaries.
- Develop engineers into cross-org technical leaders who drive direction and decisions beyond their immediate scope.
- Communicate strategy, progress, and risk to senior and executive leadership with clarity and business context.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree and/or 8 years of related experience, OR Advanced degree with 6 years (Required)
- 5+ years of People Management experience, including leading Senior+ level engineers (Preferred)
- Technical background in IP networking, systems architecture, or infrastructure engineering (Preferred)
- Experience managing organizational budgets and making investment trade-offs (Preferred)
- Experience with external technology vendor partnerships and negotiations (Preferred)
