About the role

  • Lead the hiring, training, and development of a high-performing sales team responsible for outside direct sales in a specific geographic area.
  • Create and monitor sales plans to drive success against sales goals, ensuring your team of Account Executives excels.
  • Market share: Increase market share and achieve and exceed performance targets related to subscribers, revenue, and churn.
  • Sales quota: Meet or exceed overall sales quota for your assigned region.
  • Operational initiatives: Implement key operational initiatives in the field while maintaining high ethical and procedural standards.
  • Staff development: Interview, hire, train, and develop a staff of successful Account Executives; Conduct ongoing mentoring/coaching in the field.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 4-7 years Verifiable new customer acquisition sales experience within a commissioned environment (Required)
  • 2 Years People management responsibilities (Required)
  • 2 Years Telecommunications/technical sales (Preferred)
  • Strong coaching skills with the ability to conduct difficult conversations. (Required)
  • Talent to confidently make presentations to large groups as well as one on one. (Required)
  • A proven track record of high yield business sales success. (Required)
  • Well-honed negotiating and closing skills, including communication, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving. (Required)
  • Familiarity with basic HR/Recruiting processes in order to attract and retain top sales talent. (Required)
  • Proven leadership abilities, including inspiring and motivating teams, driving strategic initiatives, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. (Required)
