About the role
- Interview, hire, train, and develop a staff of successful Sales Managers
- Conduct ongoing mentoring/coaching in the field while fostering teams and development
- Identifying and building strong relationships with internal and external partners
- Create and implement key operational initiatives in the field
- Independently generate leads and referrals through prospecting, cold calling, and networking
- Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques
- Devise creative and effective sales approaches, solutions, and proposals
- Negotiate and close deals
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Sales or Marketing (Required)
- More than 10 years Outside sales experience with demonstrated history of sales achievements in a commissioned environment (Required)
- 2-4 years People management responsibilities (Required)
- 2 years telecommunications / technical sales (Preferred)
- Exceptional coaching skills
- Talent to confidently make presentations to large groups
- A proven track record of high-yield business sales success
- Well-honed negotiating and closing skills
- Familiarity with basic HR/Recruiting processes
- Ability to manage large geographically located teams
- Ability to accurately forecast sales results
