About the role

  • Interview, hire, train, and develop a staff of successful Sales Managers
  • Conduct ongoing mentoring/coaching in the field while fostering teams and development
  • Identifying and building strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Create and implement key operational initiatives in the field
  • Independently generate leads and referrals through prospecting, cold calling, and networking
  • Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques
  • Devise creative and effective sales approaches, solutions, and proposals
  • Negotiate and close deals

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Sales or Marketing (Required)
  • More than 10 years Outside sales experience with demonstrated history of sales achievements in a commissioned environment (Required)
  • 2-4 years People management responsibilities (Required)
  • 2 years telecommunications / technical sales (Preferred)
  • Exceptional coaching skills
  • Talent to confidently make presentations to large groups
  • A proven track record of high-yield business sales success
  • Well-honed negotiating and closing skills
  • Familiarity with basic HR/Recruiting processes
  • Ability to manage large geographically located teams
  • Ability to accurately forecast sales results
