About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Preparing detailed HVAC and plumbing estimates for residential and light commercial construction projects.
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate takeoffs and pricing.
Working with the sales team to develop proposals, scope of clarifications, and bid submissions.
Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and vendor pricing to ensure competitive estimates.
Assisting in value engineering and cost analysis to improve project profitability.
Supporting Project Managers with project kickoff, scheduling, and coordination of mechanical scopes.
Tracking submittals, equipment orders, and material deliveries to ensure timely project progression.
Coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain scope alignment.
Monitoring project budgets against estimates and identifying cost variances.
Assisting with preparation and tracking of RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
Participating in project meetings and maintaining clear documentation of action items.
Supporting closeout processes including as-builts, O&M manuals, and final documentation.
Performing additional duties as assigned to support the estimating and project management teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–5 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, estimating, or construction coordination.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
