About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and maintain appropriate Cyber Security controls and ensure Operational Security requirements are according to the performance standards established in the C4IM Services List (latest version) for all assigned servers.
- Maintain all aspects of the Network Attached Storage (NAS) or any other back-up solution the Government will establish as a standard back-up solution (i.e. Global Enterprise Solution).
- Maintain control and access of data storage, space allocation, and device usage for authorized users; analyze file organization and database structure, taking action as required to eliminate deficiencies; set alarms and report unauthorized access attempts/intrusions, correct weaknesses/vulnerabilities, and document permission violations at local, group, or global level.
- Perform local database administration for standard database software for common user services.
- Perform backups for standard databases for common-user services.
- Manage virtual filers including Virtual File Manager system.
- Identify and replace failed hardware with government furnished replacements; ensure all back-up systems are operating on latest versions of software and have required patches and patches.
- Create and manage Group Policy Objects.
- Assist with development of an updated Quarterly Enterprise System Management Architectural Design Document describing service level offerings and planned enhancements.
- Draft and maintain SOP documents for the functional category.
- Contribute to T&T proposal activities and all other duties as assigned by T&T managers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years’ experience supporting DoD Networks
- Thorough knowledge of back-up solution equipment, software, and configuration; proficient with Network Management protocols/services.
- Experience with server administration (e.g. MS Server 2012R2, WINS/DNS/DHCP servers, and Print servers).
- Current experience on Army Networks (NIPR and SIPR)
- Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Experience creating and deploying application packages within the DoD environment
- CompTIA Security+ or IAT Level II baseline certification required.
- Full CE certification required; CompTIA Server+ or valid industry storage (HP, NetApp)
