About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Development: You create complex automations that go beyond what no-code tools can achieve — API integrations, custom Python/TypeScript scripts, agentic workflows, and internal tools.
Learning & Enablement: You empower colleagues across all departments to build their own automations. You lead the AI Circle, host office hours, run hands-on workshops, and write the internal documentation that enables self-service.
Tool Discovery: You curate our AI tool stack. You define and maintain the standard set of approved tools, evaluate new tools for cost, benefit, and risk, and favor redundancy to minimize single points of failure.

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of hands-on experience in software development, automation engineering, AI tools, or a related field.
Solid programming skills: You have initial experience with Python or TypeScript that, combined with strong engineering, enablement, and governance across the AI tool landscape, allows you to deliver real value.
No-code application experience: Hands-on experience with at least one no-code automation platform (n8n, Zapier, Make, etc.) and comfortable working with REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication patterns.
AI-native: You work at the cutting edge of AI tools. Claude Code is one of your primary daily tools. Coding agents, prompt engineering, MCP, and the latest LLM frameworks are part of your standard workflow. You quickly introduce new patterns into the company and set the standard for AI-first work at syte.
A "builder-coach" mentality: You enjoy both building and teaching non-technical colleagues. You are comfortable in the mix of programming and consulting.
A sense for security and data protection: Practical experience with GDPR requirements and IT security fundamentals — not just awareness, but the ability to perform a basic security review before an integration.
Drive and curiosity: This field is only about four years old. We value motivation and a willingness to experiment more than current experience alone.
Language: Native-level German (C1/C2) and business-fluent English (at least B2).
