About the role

  • Develop, lead, and deliver recruitment campaigns across actuarial, pricing, reserving and data science functions
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across insurance, insurtech, MGAs, and consulting firms
  • Build and manage strong, commercial relationships with Heads of Pricing, Chief Actuaries, Chief Risk Officers, and wider finance and analytics stakeholders
  • Drive repeat business and open new accounts across North America
  • Provide leadership and hands-on coaching to junior team members
  • Set standards on delivery, speed, and client control, and build a high-performance culture
  • Source, assess, and present top-tier actuarial and analytics talent for permanent and interim roles
  • Leverage advanced sourcing techniques, direct headhunting, and the latest market intelligence tools to stay ahead of competitors
  • Contribute to market presence through job adverts, salary guides, short market reports, and attendance at insurance and actuarial events.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in recruiting in the actuarial, insurance, or financial services market
  • Knowledge of pricing, reserving, capital modelling, risk, or data science markets is preferred
  • Proven business development track record with a network across carriers, MGAs, insurtechs, and actuarial consulting firms in the US
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with a consultative and problem-solving approach
  • Demonstrated success managing senior client relationships and controlling end-to-end recruitment cycles
  • Leadership capability with the ability to coach, raise performance standards, and support the development of junior recruiters
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, information-heavy market
  • Self-motivated, commercially minded, and committed to continuous improvement.
