About the role
- Review and contribute to product requirements, test plans, and acceptance criteria
- Design and execute test cases across functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Log and manage defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to drive quality from the start
- Maintain regression tests and contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives, championing testing best practices
Requirements
- Experience in software testing, ideally within an Agile environment
- Understanding of web technologies and databases
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- ISTQB Foundation (or willingness to work to equivalent standards)
- Exposure to automation or low/no-code testing tools (desirable)
- Experience in cloud or virtualised testing environments (desirable)
- Knowledge of healthcare, social care or education domains (desirable)
