About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work directly with the Sales Consultants (SCs) in the field and virtually by assisting on sales calls while providing constructive feedback to further develop the skill sets of each SC interacting with customer as needed.
- Provide leadership, strategic planning, and monitor all sales activities to ensure the district organization achieves maximum profitability and growth in line with the company vision and goals.
- Work with all operating divisions that support the sales organization to create and ensure a collaborative work environment.
- Recruit, select, train, assign territories, coach, counsel, and implement corrective action for employees in assigned territories.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for district and territories.
- Ensure that plans are followed by SCs to ensure all goals are met.
- Other duties as assigned and/or necessary.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience successfully growing profitable sales in the B2B market segment preferred.
- 2-3 years field and/or virtual sales experience.
- Experience with managing a remote sales team preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from suppliers, customers, management, and inter-department staff.
- Capable of collaborating with internal staff from other departments in a proactive and constructive manner.
- Excellent listening, presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
- Strong leadership skills: the ability to coach, counsel, develop and direct individuals and teams.
- Understands team dynamics and works well within a team structure.
- Exhibits an elevated level of trust and accountability.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Computer literacy that includes maintaining a customer database, Internet navigation and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).
