About the role
- Develop and lead the end-to-end product team; set partnership with engineering leadership and define product development and digital strategy
- Carry strategic responsibility for performance, efficiency and leadership of product teams; act as Global Head of Product and represent the team to executive leadership
- Collaboratively create and foster product vision; drive product strategy, discovery, design, research, and experimentation
- Partner with Engineering to set product and development strategy and vision balancing productivity and customer experience
- Drive business cases for the Digital Commerce team for AGP and LRP planning
- Understand customer needs (internal and external) through quantitative and qualitative data and deliver overwhelming value
- Understand competitive landscape and industry trends to shape digital product strategy
- Prepare and drive Steering Committee meetings and present to Sysco executives and leadership teams
- Represent Digital Commerce across product development activities including engineering, SRE, and data workstreams
- Market Digital Commerce products, evangelize product portfolio, meet internal and external customers, source feedback and assess product reception
- Lead Continuous Improvement for major components of Digital Commerce and Presence
- Lead, drive, and manage product lifecycle from inception to release including Product, UX Design, UX/Competitive Research, Agile Project Management, Product Operations, and Product Enablement
- Oversee implementation of product design and development policies, objectives, and initiatives
- Prioritize feature development from customer, sales, engineering, market, and competitor input into deliverable features
- Lead UX Design and Research to capture voice of the customer and develop insights; develop conceptual designs, POCs, experiments, and design patterns
- Lead Agile Project Management ensuring delivery and smooth hand-off from product to engineering; create cross-functional project plans and agile reports
- Lead Go-To-Market activities to internal and external customers, close feedback loops, and manage customer and executive communications
- Oversee multiple parallel work streams in a fast-paced agile environment and align with business priorities and deadlines
- Champion technical and functional development of global teams; coach leaders and individual contributors, recruit, retain and develop product talent
- Cultivate positive company culture and manage cross-functional Ways of Working in partnership with engineering
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, information systems or related, or equivalent work experience
- 10 years’ experience in management role leading a team of product managers
- 12 years’ experience in product management, business consulting or related field
- 6 years’ experience in product development
- Experience in agile environment
- Executive experience in Fortune 100 multinational companies
- Proven strong skills in stakeholder management and internal evangelism
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams and stakeholders and achieve product adoption
- Experience creating communication, training and marketing materials for stakeholders
- Domain experience in the food distribution business (Preferred)
- Technical software development knowledge encompassing modern cloud technologies such as Kafka, BFF and MFE (Preferred)
- Practical experience in applying Design Thinking principles to create enterprise solutions (Preferred)
- Experience with global digital platform deployments (Preferred)
- Experience in building and managing offshore product management and product design teams (Preferred)
- Experience in managing large contractor/consulting engagements for staff augmentation, flexible capacity and fixed bid initiatives (Preferred)
- Willingness/ability to travel up to 25%
