💰 $74,200 - $111,400 per year
About the role
- Develop and maintain production plans to ensure orders are completed on time
- Determine headcount requirements and labor utilization to meet production and business goals
- Schedule equipment and team resources to support production plans
- Track component yield rates and manage work order maintenance
- Set performance metrics for departments and benchmark metrics internally and externally
- Develop and monitor annual department budgets; track actual expenses vs budget
- Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities & performance standards for Production and Production Warehouse departments
- Coach and develop Supervisors and teams; oversee employee relations, selection, performance evaluations, corrective actions and terminations
- Establish performance goals, monitor progress and provide feedback; manage employee performance through delegation and mentoring
- Develop, provide and coordinate training as needed; conduct regular department meetings to foster engagement
- Serve as key IT, telecom and systems contact for the business unit
- Maintain a positive and safe work environment; coordinate safety training, SOPs, emergency response and accident investigations
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across departments
- Maintain presence and availability across all shifts; travel periodically to oversee launches, events, training and vendor fairs
Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Bachelor of Science in a Business Management preferred
- 7+ years of Production and/or Manufacturing in a food environment (minimum)
- At least 2 years leading a team
- HACCP and GMP certifications preferred
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills
- Ability to effectively coach, present information and respond to questions from management and stakeholders
- Ability to mentor and develop individuals and teams
- Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple initiatives
- Experience managing large, complex projects
- Customer service orientation and problem solving skills
- Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and scheduling software
- Detailed knowledge of ERP and WMS systems
- High level of understanding financial reports
- Ability to understand and work with relational databases
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus
- Must maintain a valid driver license and proof of automobile insurance coverage as set forth by Sysco
- Periodic overnight travel required; may require use of personal vehicle
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, reach and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
