About the role

  • Support mission critical workload on OCI
  • Onboard new customers to OCI
  • Provision and manage resources in OCI
  • Work with Project Managers and customers to understand customer requirements
  • Adhere to technical standards and best practices for Syntax’s OCI IaaS solutions
  • Draft architecture design diagrams, document onboarding runbooks
  • Collaborate with Syntax teams to integrate solutions with OCI
  • Use ticketing system to track and address incoming client needs
  • Act as Level II escalation for Priority 1 issues related to OCI
  • Provide on-call support during off business hours and weekends

Requirements

  • Strong background and understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and technology
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably OCI certified
  • Combined experience spanning at least two domains (technical architecture, network management, application development, etc.)
  • Expert level knowledge on OCI Native services like OCI DNS, Zones & Email Delivery
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft AD, Windows & Linux operating systems
  • Proven experience working in an OCI environment
  • Experience in deploying multi-tier applications on OCI IaaS and PaaS services
  • Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, etc.
  • Having knowledge with Python and Terraform for scripting is a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
