Sales Lead – Public Sector, SaaS
Synmatch AISales Lead DACH driving sales for library software solutions within the German-speaking public sector. Leading a small team while engaging directly in sales activities.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Expand the DACH market and win new customers across libraries and public institutions
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship building
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships for long-term partnerships
- Conduct customer visits, workshops, and presentations to showcase solutions
- Own your personal sales pipeline and forecasting responsibilities
- Guide public procurement processes and tender submissions
- Create and coordinate proposals together with internal teams
- Lead commercial negotiations and manage multi-stakeholder decision processes
- Provide professional leadership and coaching to two Key Account Managers
- Foster a proactive sales mentality and support the team on strategic opportunities
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and professional gatherings
- Build and maintain a strong network within the library and public sector ecosystem
- Monitor market trends and competitive developments for strategic positioning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Multiple years of experience in software/SaaS sales with proven track record
- First team lead or management experience with player-coach mentality
- Genuine enjoyment of actively selling and working closely with customers
- Ability to build long-term, trust-based customer relationships
- Experience with complex B2B solution sales and multi-stakeholder environments
- Ideally experience with public clients or procurement/tender processes
- Excellent German and English communication (written and spoken)
- Structured, self-responsible, and proactive approach
