Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design and maintenance of real-time voice systems
Ensure reliability, scalability, and security
Enhance voice quality and observability
Design, develop, and maintain SIP and RTP-based VoIP systems
Diagnose and resolve complex routing and signaling issues
Optimize network performance across critical protocols
Integrate and support PBX systems, SBCs, and modern cloud VoIP environments
Define and improve call quality metrics
Lead the architecture and deployment of advanced voice applications
Act as the final point of technical escalation for intricate VoIP incidents

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years in software engineering
4+ years dedicated to VoIP/SIP development
Deep experience with Freeswitch and Kamailio
Proficient in Lua and Python
(Experience with Go or C/C++ is a plus)
Expert-level command of network protocols
Advanced debugging tools (Wireshark, SIPp, libpcap, Linux/BSD sockets)
Practical experience with WebRTC
Deploying on major cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Cloudflare)
Understanding of traditional telecom hardware
Proven track record in building scalable systems
Implementing effective automated testing frameworks
