About the role

  • Supports management and supervises staff responsible for the implementation, configuration, and operation of the Company’s IT infrastructure and applications
  • Regularly interacts with customers to determine project scope, work effort, technology strategy, and data expectations to ensure the success of ongoing data exchange processes
  • Coordinates activities and deliverables with external vendors and service providers
  • Provides guidance and direction to the appropriate resources to increase the efficiency of all systems, minimize downtime, comply with processes & procedures, and ensure completion of projects on schedule and within budget
  • Ensures adherence standards and procedures for computing to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Writes goals for team members that are aligned to corporate strategic objectives
  • Develops team members in support of their career objectives and corporate needs

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent combined education and experience
  • significant information systems/technology experience in a data intensive operational and compliance environment
  • Must be comfortable with new technologies such as data architecture, data modeling and data management across relational and Big Data like SQL Server, Oracle, Spark, Python, Shell scripting
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment is essential
  • Background in commercial pharmaceutical, biotech development, or health care industry preferred
