About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end quality for your services: define and maintain test coverage, regression scope, and release readiness criteria (quality gates).
- Build and maintain reliable UI/E2E automation in Playwright + TypeScript: improve stability, speed, and maintainability; reduce flakiness.
- Design and evolve test automation framework components: reusable utilities, fixtures, page objects/screenplay patterns, test data strategy.
- Perform hands-on manual testing (exploratory for new features, risk-based regression, smoke/sanity before releases).
- Integrate automated tests into CI (GitHub-based pipelines): analyze failures, triage flaky tests, improve signal quality, reporting, and execution time.
- Maintain test documentation and lightweight processes: test plans, regression checklists, execution notes, quality status communication.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years of experience in QA / AQA role with strong test automation and solid manual testing experience.
- Strong hands-on test automation using TypeScript with Playwright for UI/E2E testing (web).
- Confident with browser DevTools (Network/Console/Performance): troubleshooting flaky tests, analyzing requests, validating payloads, and identifying issues.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object), reusable test utilities, fixtures, and test data strategy.
- Strong manual testing skills: test design techniques, exploratory testing, regression, smoke/sanity, and end-to-end scenario validation across environments.
- Ability to plan and own the scope of regression testing: define coverage based on risk/impact, select and prioritize test suites, ensure readiness across environments, and communicate scope/status clearly.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and hands-on work with PostgreSQL: writing queries for validation, data setup/teardown.
- Understanding of testing in cloud environments and practical exposure to AWS (basic familiarity with ECS, ALB, RDS, CloudWatch, VPC concepts).
- Experience with CI execution of automated tests and working with pipeline results (reading logs, triaging failures, reporting quality signals).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with developers and other team members.
- Self-driven, able to work independently; structured approach to breaking down tasks, estimating, and delivering.
- Experience with test management and traceability using PractiTest (test sets/runs, linking requirements/defects, reporting).
- Hands-on experience setting up/maintaining automation runs in GitHub Actions (parallelization, artifacts, reporting, flaky-test handling).
- Hands-on experience testing GraphQL APIs (manual + automated): queries/mutations, schema/types validation, auth/permissions, pagination/filtering, negative scenarios, data consistency checks.
- Basic understanding of Angular (components, common UI patterns).
