About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop Oracle APEX applications, including pages, components, dynamic actions, and reports
Write efficient PL/SQL, SQL, and database objects (tables, views, packages, triggers) to support application logic and performance
Implement custom UI enhancements using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3 to extend APEX out-of-the-box capabilities
Integrate APEX applications with external systems through REST and SOAP web services (both consuming and exposing endpoints via ORDS)
Collaborate with senior architects on solution design, data modeling, and technical decisions
Participate actively in agile/Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing APEX applications for performance, security, and maintainability
Apply best practices for application security (authentication, authorization, session state protection, OWASP guidelines)
Document technical designs, integration specifications, and deployment procedures
Support code reviews, testing, and CI/CD-driven deployments across environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle APEX (version 20.x or higher must)
4+ years of experience in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and SQL (query tuning, analytical functions, packages)
4+ years of JavaScript (ES6+) and the APEX JavaScript API
Proficiency with CSS3 and responsive design principles; familiarity with Universal Theme customization
Mandatory: 4+ years of integrating APEX applications with RESTful and/or SOAP web services, including handling JSON/XML payloads, authentication (OAuth2, Basic, API keys), and error handling
Minimum 6+Years of experience mentioned in 'Required Skill/Knowledge' with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
In Lieu of degree, minimum of 8 years of experience required
