About the role

  • Partner with internal teams and clients to design, execute, and deliver healthcare and pharmaceutical medical and marketing initiatives
  • Understand client challenges, therapeutic area, and target audience to conceptualize and design print and digital initiatives
  • Collaborate with copywriters, medical, editorial, accounts, and project management teams
  • Conceptualize and brainstorm innovative brand experiences and maintain brand consistency across marketing materials
  • Develop brand style guidelines and ensure compliance by internal teams and external partners
  • Manage and collaborate with outside vendors to ensure quality, timelines, and budgets
  • Review materials, provide feedback, and provide final project sign-off ensuring creative direction and QA adherence
  • Present work and design rationale to internal stakeholders and clients and relay feedback
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, scopes, and budgets and manage execution of Synchrony Healthcare work
  • Identify staffing needs, manage resource allocations, reconcile contractor invoices, and manage direct reports and subcontractors
  • Keep current with trends in advertising, branding, design, and digital technologies

Requirements

  • Degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Arts, or a related course of study is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of studio design experience, preferably in medical communications
  • Agency experience on pharmaceutical accounts preferred
  • Familiarity with agency workflow process
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud design software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of, or hands-on experience with, interactive programming
  • Strong creative design, conceptual, and visual story-telling skills
  • Strong presentation and persuasion skills
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and manage direct reports and subcontractors
  • Vendor management experience (printers, photographers, video editors, illustrators, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility with schedule and ability to travel
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations and commit to extra/nontraditional hours as client needs require
