About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain transportation network strategies
Optimize transportation flows and evaluate cross-dock footprints and service areas
Build routing and consolidation strategies to improve scalability and performance
Create short- and long-term capacity plans and identify constraints
Model transportation scenarios to support growth and customer expansion
Analyze transportation costs, shipment flows, and performance trends
Develop business cases and recommendations for executive decision-making
Define and maintain transportation planning parameters within Manhattan Active TM
Establish planning standards and partner with IT and Continuous Improvement to enhance planning capabilities
Collaborate with transportation, supply chain, IT, continuous improvement, and operations teams
Support scalable and efficient network performance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in transportation planning, network design, or supply chain strategy
Experience with Transportation Management Systems, preferably Manhattan Active TM
Strong analytical, financial modeling, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience designing and optimizing retail consolidation transportation networks
Experience supporting supplier-to-retailer distribution networks, including cross-dock operations and final delivery to retailer distribution centers
Experience with multi-origin, multi-stop transportation planning, freight consolidation, and load optimization
Experience developing network optimization business cases, capacity models, and transportation cost analyses
Experience in brokerage, managed transportation, retail transportation management, greenfield operations, or large-scale transportation transformations
Up to 25% travel may be required
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations
Ability to own a credit card and manage expenses personally for bi-weekly reimbursement
