About the role

  • Provide engineering support for firewalls across multiple platforms within the global infrastructure
  • Lead engineering projects to completion, collaborating with teams and vendors
  • Deliver successful deployments in alignment with architectural standards
  • Work on assigned issues or tasks related to firewall OS configurations
  • Implement new or modify existing firewall rules
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency within the GTS Firewall Management Service
  • Assist with security audits and remediation of security-related issues
  • Resolve problems promptly and escalate complex technical issues when necessary
  • Ensure firewall services and systems remain highly available and reliable
  • Documentation of processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in information technology and cybersecurity
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of Check Point OS, rules, and advanced troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of Palo Alto OS, rules, and advanced troubleshooting
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN and network protocols
  • Experience with SNMP monitoring tools (e.g., Orion)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and commands for quick issue resolution
  • Knowledge of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technologies, specifically Palo Alto Prisma
