About the role
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the banking industry in Tanzania through market research and analysis
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and increase revenue
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including conducting regular meetings and providing excellent customer service
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies and close deals
- Provide regular reports on business development activities and results
- Attend events and conferences to stay up-to-date on market trends and developments
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies and materials
- Conduct competitor analysis and stay up-to-date on industry trends
- Report to the Regional Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Proven track record of success in business development or sales in the banking industry
- Knowledge of the banking industry and market in Tanzania
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English and Swahili
- 8 to 10 years’ minimum experience in business development or sales within the banking industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate complex technical information into business terms for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills
