About the role

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the banking industry in Tanzania through market research and analysis
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and increase revenue
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including conducting regular meetings and providing excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies and close deals
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities and results
  • Attend events and conferences to stay up-to-date on market trends and developments
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies and materials
  • Conduct competitor analysis and stay up-to-date on industry trends
  • Report to the Regional Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales in the banking industry
  • Knowledge of the banking industry and market in Tanzania
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English and Swahili
  • 8 to 10 years’ minimum experience in business development or sales within the banking industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into business terms for non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation skills
