About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process a high volume of refunds and cancellation offsets daily
  • Evaluate and analyze reporting data to discover and resolve outstanding debits, credits, or other inconsistencies with policyholder accounts
  • Navigate internal systems to research, analyze, and resolve policyholder inquiries
  • Ensure offsets and refunds are accurate
  • Maintain and update customer information in the database during and after each customer inquiry
  • Keep customer policies up to date with detailed notes after processing each transaction
  • Follow internal guidelines and time frames so policy credits are sent on time
  • Track and follow up on policy refunds and credits requiring additional payment-clearance time
  • Partner with the Customer Experience team by providing updates on pending transactions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance, billing support industry, or related field
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED) required
  • Strong Excel reporting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Previous experience in a high-volume, call-focused environment
  • Familiarity or previous experience in a homeowner policy-focused environment is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively using Slack and MS Teams
  • Comfortable sharing screens and video chatting
  • Experience using video and chat technology, including MS Teams and Slack
  • Previous Zendesk experience is a plus but not required
  • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity
  • Designated quiet work-from-home space
