Our IT Services team apply deep expertise and innovative solutions to help solve challenges for our customers. The IT Project Manager is responsible for delivering overall project objectives and specific team deliverables, by the planning of project activities and executing assigned tasks/work within the expected quality standards, to ensure the project is a success.
This role can be full-time on-site or hybrid split between home and on-site. Ideally based in or a commutable distance of Aberdeen.
Manage a portfolio of projects ranging in size and complexity, and ensuring projects are delivered in scope, on time and within budget.
Develop and manage detailed project schedule and work plans.
Assemble, plan, and lead technical teams to deliver the project objectives.
Track project progress and costs, and proactively manage any changes via a controlled Change management process.
Create and maintain project documentation to track actions, risks, and issues.
Provide project reporting, both internal and external.
Planning and managing service changes and service go-lives.
Conducting regular reviews during project and service transition with customers and key stakeholders / senior management.
Requirements
You'll be an experienced IT Project Manager with exposure to the delivery of a range of IT projects.
You'll work alongside a highly experienced technical delivery team.
You'll support clients and colleagues alike through the delivery of complex and technically challenging transformation programmes with a primary focus on networking solutions and systems integration.
You'll be given the opportunity to work on projects that will allow you to keep your skillset at the forefront of developments in both technology and PM methodology.
Strong experience of planning and managing multiple projects in an IT infrastructure or application environment
Experience of working within the oil and gas industry
Basic understanding of Project Online
Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability develop and explain the project goals and objectives to the project team and stakeholders
Good business acumen, including industry and domain-specific knowledge of the organisation and its business units. Familiarity with industry trends and innovation, and how other organisations are using them to drive digital business
Good project planning and execution skills
Ability to develop projects and deliver them against financial and resource constraints
Proven track record with the use of reporting tools to monitor project activities and analyse project performance
Strong knowledge of project management principles including Waterfall or Agile
Qualifications in one of the following project delivery methodology or frameworks and experience of others, such as:
PMI standard , PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP).
